TIPS / FAQ
Many people make the mistake to calculate Reset Laser time to 180 sec ( for Strip Miners), 60 sec ( for Mining Lasers ) or a bit less, and in this way you'll obtain a wrong number of Mining Cycles and a lot of time wasted, because asteroids many times are depleted earlier.
Never let your laser to perform a full run, 180 sec ( for Strip Miners), 60 sec ( for Mining Lasers ), reset them between 80-120 sec (Strip Miners)or 48-55 sec (Mining Lasers), even if you'll run more Mining Cycles, this is very important more efficient.
Example : Lets take for example a Hulk with :
-- 3 x Strip Miners
-- 17199 m3 Cargo
-- 1015 m3 ( the ore amount, of every Strip Miner received in 180 sec )
First you need to find the time to fill up your cargo . To find how:
3 * 1015 = 3045 --- the amount you get it in 180 sec with all 3 Strip Miners
17199 / 3045 = 5.648 --- the aprox number of cycles what you need to fill the cargo ( but this is not the nr. of cycles that need to be set in Stealth Miner settings)
5.648 * 180 = 1016 seconds --- THIS IS THE WHOLE TIME WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO FILL YOUR CARGO AT EACH RUN (aprox 17 min)
Now, depends how many Cycles you want to run : (7,8,9 or 10 etc...)
If you set up the eve bot to make 10 Mining Cycles for each run , you can obtain the time for each Cycle like this :
1016sec / 10 (desired number of Cycles ) = 101.6sec for every Mining Cycle (that means, your ship will reset lasers at every 102 sec )
So now you have the correct time to can run a perfect setup for your ship like:
- Reset Lasers Every: 102 sec
- Mining Cycles : 10
- Target time : 4 sec
- Run to Belt and Back to Station : 75-80 sec both
- Undock and Dock time: 40-45 sec both
With this setup, each run last around 21-22 minutes (including the transport to the Station) and also very efficient.
You can use same brief to calculate and set up your miner even if your ship use Mining Laser Tech 1 or 2.

- How to set up STEALTH MINER efficient for ICE mining?
If you intend to mine ICE you must calculate the full time to fill your cargo and use only one mining cycle.
Example : Lets take for example a Mackinaw with :
-- 2 x Ice Harvesters
-- 12000 m3 Cargo
-- 310 sec ( duration of every cycle for the Ice Harverster is 310 sec )
Due to the Mackinaw bonus, that meant at every 310 sec you'll mine 4 pieces of ICE.
To fill your cargo you need 12 pieces that mean you should run 3x complete cycles : 310x3=930 sec (+ 10 sec extra to be sure that eveything will be ok even if the game have lag).
Now you have perfect setup for ICE mining :
- Mining Cycles : 1
- Reset Lasers Every: 930 sec
- Recommended "Set all lasers on same asteroid"
If you are an ICE miner , you can minimize your Eve clients while you are using Stealth Miner, but only during the mining cycle, after your ship arrived in belt and has started the ICE mining process.
- How to protect my ship correctly with Defensive Modules / Shield Boosters?
Be very careful if you intend to use Shield Boosters, be sure that your ship have enough capacitor and supports to activate and run Shield Boosters at any period of time, and your ship will not remain without energy for mining lasers or to warp back to station. This can blow up your mining Cycle or in worst case all mining day. If your ship is low and don't support Shield Boosters you can easily use Shield Extenders to increase your shield HP.
- How to fit ships when i use with multiple mining accounts?
If you use STEALTH - MINER PRO or STEALTH - MINER SUPER PRO version, and you want to run multiple mining accounts on the same PC, its recommended to use same ships with almost same configuration on all EVE accounts for a better running and efficiency.
- What should I do with option UAC (User Account Control) from windows?
IMPORTANT :
Windows Vista and Windows 7 users must Disable the UAC (User Account Control) from Control Panel under User Accounts.
Also make sure to run on the PC as a primary user with administrator rights and not as a secondary user with limited rights.
- How to download the full version of the program after i complete the payment?
